Weekend Plans!!
Need some ideas for what-to-do with the fam this weekend. Here’s my list. (Got something — add it please!)
- Chesterfield Berry Farm — The only way to get your pumpkin.
- Get your Run on or just come and cheer for the Scholarship 10k, 20k, 30k at Pocahontas State Park.
- Pack your bags, fill up the tank, dust off the smart tag — were going across the river…
- Belle Island and/or Pony Pasture - this is a great time to take the fam to the river. The water levels are low (really low) and the rapids well not so much. Great time for rock hopping and exploring places you couldn’t normally. Have fun and be safe.
We aren’t planning on going this weekend, but there is the State Fair going on right?

we usually go to ashland berry farm for our pumpkins… they let you buy as many as you can hold for 15 bucks. Last year I took the record for the number of pumpkins i held at one time… 18 (granted they weren’t *HUGE* pumpkins… just the right size for carving)
Maybe we’ll check out the chesterfield berry farm this year.
Eppington Plantation also had something going on today. Wish I’d found this site earlier, since I’m not sure if it’s still going on tomorrow.
Nuts, sorry! Eppington Heritage Day was only today (Saturday) and ended at 4:00. I was there early this afternoon with my family and it was a very informative visit.
I highly recommend it if you ever get the opportunity to tour this site that’s on the Historic Registry.
