In the past 9 days there have been 11 different bomb threats in 8 different schools in Chesterfield County. 4 of those bomb threats happened yesterday at Meadowbrook High School, Crestwood Elementary School and Clover Hill Elementary School.

Two more cases in Petersburg and Henrico were confirmed to be the drug-resistant staph infection. Last week 7 students from James River had gotten the virus.

The second annual Head of the James Regatta took place on Saturday, October 13th at Robious Landing Park in Chesterfield county. The regatta was co-sponsored by James River High School Crew and the Virginia Boat Club. Rowers numbered 256 in total (49 masters and 207 junior rowers) and represented 12 rowing clubs. Clubs traveled from Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Richmond, Chesapeake, Williamsburg and as far away as Raleigh, NC. (more…)
Apparently back in August a kid from the JV football team had a staph infection and now two new cases have popped up and they are now taking preventative measures to stop the spread. MRSA a drug-resistant staph that can spread quickly was the cause of death of a Bedford County high school student on Monday. (more…)
