Come May 29th, motorists will need either EZ Pass or exact change to either exit (going north) at Courthouse Rd or enter from Courthouse Rd (but just going south – away from Richmond) with the Powhite Parkway.

I wonder how many people that really affects? I know several that go that way, but by and far they all use EZ Pass; VDOT figures a cost savings of $100k annually. Read VDOT’s press release and you can see they are wanting more to use EZ Pass to reduce costs…
I guess nice weather with no rain isn’t such a good thing. We are beginning a season of drought and Chesterfield County residents and businesses are asked to start conserving water now. Although it’s only voluntary right now, if we don’t get any rainfall by October 10th “The Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors will be asked to implement mandatory water restrictions” (chesterfield.gov).
How can you save water? Chesterfield.gov has released conservation measures to follow.
The Chesterfield-Colonial Heights Department of Social Services are looking for volunteers to help in preparing taxes for lower income families. Your help is needed on Thursdays from 4:30 to 6:30 between mid-January and mid-April (presumably the 15th).
