“Providing children with disabilities the opportunity to play baseball”
This is cool. The Chesterfield County Department of Parks and Recreation donated some land behind L.C. Bird, in conjunction with the Miracle League of Richmond, to create a baseball field for children with disabilities. The field is completely flat, no raised pitcher mounds, fields, or bases and its made out of cushioned turf (kind of like astro-turf). Read the entire article at the Western Chesterfield Exchange.
