Need a professional gardener? Got $25? (some stipulations apply)

Apparently if you have $25 and have lived in your chesterfield home for 2 years or less you can have a professional gardener come out and help you plan out your landscape.

This from Chesterfield County

The Chesterfield County Virginia Cooperative Extension Office is offering a Gardening for New Residents Program. If you are a county residence and have been living at your current resident for two years or less, you may register for the program. The program, which costs $25, includes a site evaluation from a master gardener with a basic landscape inventory, a follow-up consultation and a landscape reference binder personalized for your yard.

For more information, or to register, visit the Cooperative Extension page at chesterfield.gov.

  1. Sounds interesting… my wife really wants to do a lot, but I’ve no clue. $25 is probably worth it!

Here’s a direct link to the page (c’mon Scott!): http://www.chesterfield.gov/HumanServices/ExtensionServices/NewResGardening.asp

  3. I just called their office, and they said they are training the 1st round of volunteers today and there are still openings.

For those that don’t want to mail in the registration form, you can drop it off at their office off Courthouse Rd near Pocahontas Park.
