A Chesterfield County daycare provider will serve one year in prison for the death of a toddler in her care.
A Circuit Court judge on Thursday sentenced 42-year-old Elizabeth Noakes to five years on a conviction for involuntary manslaughter, and suspended all but one year.
Wow… we used to live near where this happened. BEYOND scary. We also happened to have two of our kids with a lady doing a home daycare. You just really never know, but it’s not as if our experience with commercial daycares were that much better – you just had a certainty that something like this was a lot less likely to happen with multiple staff.
I just don’t get the cardboard box/dog crate on top of the crib. I just don’t get it…
