Arrest made for recent Chesterfield bomb threats

A man was arrested today in connection with a series of bomb threats to schools, the Chesterfield County Airport and Chesterfield Towne Center.

Derrick L. Boyd, 20, of the 200 block of Engleside Drive in Henrico County, is accused of phoning in the rash of bomb threats that began Oct. 20.

Boyd is charged with five counts of threatening to bomb and is being held in the Chesterfield County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in Chesterfield County General District Court for a pretrial hearing at 10 a.m. on Nov. 2.
