Fire on Saturday morning
At 16224 Hampton Summit Drive a fire broke out around 7:00 am. All 5 people that were in the house made it out okay. More details to come, the Fire Department is still looking into the cause.
Famous Dave’s robbed but employee
fights back.
Police are investigating a robbery that occurred at Famous Dave’s at 10201 Midlothian Turnpike at about 10:10 p.m. on Aug. 26.
Three masked suspects entered the business through an unlocked back door as employees were preparing to close for the day. One suspect entered the office and stole money while a second suspect approached another employee and demanded money at gunpoint. The employee struggled with the suspect and obtained the gun before all three suspects fled. No one was injured.

Fire truck collides with dump truck
Yesterday, August 27, a fire truck collided with a dump truck on Iron Bridge Road. The dump truck driver and two firefighters were taken to VCU Medical Center with minor injuries. Part of the eastbound lane was closed from Rock Spring Drive to Cogbill Road because of the crash.

Board defers decision on noise ordinance for 30 days
The Chesterfield County Board was going to decide on a noise ordinance that was possibly going to be adopted from Virginia Beach. However, everyone still needed more information to make a clear decision so people are going to be researching a bit more in order to make that decision.

Police Search for Gas Station Burglary Suspects
Police are looking for two unidentified suspects in connection with two burglaries and one attempted burglary that occurred at three Midlothian gas stations between Aug. 23 and 24. Police believe all three incidents are related.
Skeletal Remains are Identified
Police have identified the skeletal remains found near the Falling Creek apartments in the 2500 block of Marina Drive on Aug. 18 as that of Pamela Sue Dodson, 32.
