Driver Critically Injured-The Chesterfield County Police Department is investigating a two-vehicle crash that critically injured one man. The crash occurred on Hopkins Road near Thurston Road at about 9:07 p.m. yesterday.
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – The Chesterfield County Police Department is investigating a two-vehicle crash that critically injured one man. The crash occurred on Hopkins Road near Thurston Road at about 9:07 p.m. yesterday.
Police said a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 truck was traveling north on Hopkins Road when the driver sideswiped a 2008 Ford F-250 truck traveling south. The Dodge truck then struck a tree and overturned.
The driver of the Dodge truck was transported to VCU Medical Center with critical injuries. The other driver was not injured.
Police continue their investigation into this crash.
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Chesterfield County Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the murder of Kenneth R. Prindes, 50.
Prindes was shot to death and discovered outside his room at America’s Best Value Inn at 2126 Willis Road on April 30, 2008. He had been living at the inn for about two weeks at the time of his death. Police believe Prindes was involved in drug activity and was a possible robbery victim.

Both adults and youths who have demonstrated an exemplary commitment to their communities, neighborhoods or schools are eligible. The deadline to submit nominations is March 20. CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – The Chesterfield County Senior Advocate is seeking subscribers to a new service called the Telephone Reassurance Program. The program enables volunteers to make regular telephone calls to older adults and adults with disabilities who live alone. The goal is to check on the adults’ well-being and to provide them with some socialization.
Potential subscribers can apply or be referred by a family member, friend or case worker. They will be interviewed before participating and will fill out a brief form listing information such as their languages spoken and interests or hobbies. This will allow them to be best matched with a volunteer caller. Volunteers are screened and undergo training before they can make calls.
